We are currently seeking a Nurse Recruiter in Chicago (60656) who is able to work between 20 to 30 hours per week.  The hours for this position can be flexible but 9:00am - 2:00pm is preferred.

Job Description Summary:

The Private Duty Nurse Recruiter is responsible for developing recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing needs. The goal is to provide service excellence throughout the recruitment cycle by focusing on delivering top talent to our clinical team. This will be done by providing proactive and timely communication on the status of the searches at hand and ensuring that candidates have a positive experience and receive open and active communication on the status of their applications.

Private Duty Nurse Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Establishes recruiting needs by studying organizational requirements and conferring with hiring manager to identify openings.
  • Recruits talent for professional and technical Nursing jobs, ensuring a proactive recruitment strategy is being maintained to react to employment market trends and attracting qualified and desirable candidates.
  • Identify different candidate sourcing opportunities by researching and contacting community services, colleges, agencies, media, and internet sites.
  • Follow candidates throughout the recruiting process from pre-screening to acceptance of employment offer ensuring they have timely updates of their application status and stay engaged in the process.
  • Continually provide updates to hiring leadership on the status and availability of applicants.
  • Verify references, facilitate all pre-employment requisites are met and schedule orientations for candidates who have accepted job offers.
  • Manage applicant tracking system, maintain recruiting metrics and ensure the regulatory requirements for the full cycle recruitment process are compliant with all federal and state legislation.

 Position Qualifications

  • Associates degree or some college coursework required.
  • Recruiting experience required.
  • Knowledge of general principles of recruiting, staffing systems and tools.
  • Experience in managing an applicant tracking system.
  • Experience in candidate sourcing solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and practices.
  • Medical/Nursing knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Able to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction.

 Skills Required

  • Organizational/attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • PC/Software literate
  • Customer oriented
     

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Typically bends stoops and crouches on a regular basis.
  • Consistently communicates and converses with leadership and candidates to exchange information.
  • Consistently inputs information by utilizing software to track education and QA initiatives or analysis.
